PLEASE READ THE GIVEN INSTRUCTIONS WITH FOCUS AND ATTENTION
GDG DevFest Ahmedabad is back with its 12th edition!
This year, we’re taking DevFest beyond the traditional conference format.
Along with technical sessions and hands-on workshops, we’re introducing track-specific panel discussions and Speed Mentoring to create more opportunities for speakers and attendees to interact, exchange experiences, and learn from each other.
📅 5 December 2026
📍 Shri Shakti Convention Center, Ahmedabad
And now, we’re looking for speakers who want to be part of it.

We especially want to bring together people who are building, experimenting, leading, and adapting in an increasingly AI-driven world.
🌐 Theme for this year’s content
Technology is changing rapidly.
AI is changing how we build software, but the conversation doesn’t end with AI.
This year, we’re interested in what people are building, how technology is being applied in the real world, what professionals are learning, and how businesses and developers are adapting to this new landscape.
We want sessions that go beyond “what is this technology?”
Tell us:
What did you build?
What problem did you solve?
What worked?
What didn’t?
What did you learn?
What can our audience take away from your experience?
🎤 Tracks & Session Formats

AI isn’t only transforming code.
It’s changing how products are imagined, companies are built, teams operate, and businesses grow.
This track is for:
- Startup founders
- Entrepreneurs
- Product leaders
- Business leaders
- Developers turned founders

- Startup ecosystem enablers
- Technology professionals
Possible topics include:
- Building AI-first products

- Real-world AI transformation stories
We want the stories behind the products — not product pitches.
🛠️ Workshop Track
Alongside the three primary tracks, GDG DevFest Ahmedabad 2026 will have a dedicated Workshop Track running throughout the day.
Some things are better learned by doing.
We’re looking for hands-on experiences where attendees can actively build, experiment, solve problems, and learn through practice.
Workshops can cover areas across:
- AI-powered creative coding and generative art (AI)
- Building games, interactive experiences, and virtual worlds (AI + Web)
- Voice interfaces and conversational experiences (AI and natural language processing)

- Startups, product building, and rapid prototyping (AI + startup)
- Emerging technologies and practical engineering workflows (Web or cloud)
A great workshop should give attendees something they can build, experiment with, and continue working on after DevFest.
🎤 Panel Discussions
This year, we’re also introducing panel discussions at the end of each major track.
Each track will have a dedicated panel bringing together multiple speakers and perspectives around the technologies, challenges, opportunities, and trends shaping that area.
These conversations are designed to go beyond individual sessions and explore questions that benefit from multiple viewpoints and real-world experiences.
Selected speakers may be invited to participate in a relevant panel based on their expertise and experience.
Because sometimes, the most interesting part isn’t one person’s answer.
It’s what happens when different perspectives come together.
⚡ NEW: Speed Mentoring
And now, we’re taking the speaker experience one step further.
This year, we’re introducing Speed Mentoring at GDG DevFest Ahmedabad.
The idea is simple:
Short conversations. Real questions. Practical guidance.
Attendees will get the opportunity to interact with experienced developers, engineers, founders, professionals, and industry leaders in short, focused mentoring conversations.
Instead of one long mentorship session, the format will be rotational — allowing attendees to meet multiple mentors and get different perspectives on their questions, challenges, projects, careers, and journeys.
We expect our speakers to be part of it.
Being a DevFest speaker this year isn’t only about delivering your session.
Selected speakers will also be expected to contribute to the Speed Mentoring initiative.
You will be expected to be available for approximately 30–60 minutes during the event.
The mentoring will happen on a rotational basis and will be planned around your session schedule, so it should not take up a significant portion of your day.
We’re asking for this because we believe your experience can be valuable beyond the stage.
Your session might inspire someone.
A conversation with you might help them figure out what to do next.
⭐ Expectations from CFPs this year
As always, we are looking for value-driven, experience-based proposals.
We want talks that demonstrate things you’ve actually done — whether that’s building a product, solving a difficult engineering problem, scaling an application, launching a startup, improving developer productivity, implementing AI, or learning something through failure.
Strong proposals could demonstrate:
- Real-world implementation
- Production experience
- Case studies
- Technical challenges and solutions
- User or business impact
- Scalability
- Performance improvements
- Developer productivity improvements
- Product development
- Startup journeys
- Experiments and lessons learned
- Failures and what you learned from them
- Practical approaches others can apply
We are NOT looking for:
- Generic introductory talks
- “Getting Started with…” sessions
- Basic tutorials easily available online
- Hello World implementations
- Purely theoretical presentations
- Product/company marketing pitches
For example, submissions such as:
“Getting Started with Flutter”
“Introduction to JavaScript”
“What is Generative AI?”
“Getting Started with Firebase”
are unlikely to be selected unless they offer a strong, unique, experience-driven perspective.
✅ DOs of CFP
- Clearly explain your proposed topic.
- Describe the practical value of the session.
- Include your hands-on experience with the technology/topic.
- Share links to your previous talks, presentations, blogs, GitHub projects, demos, or videos where applicable.
- Mention important takeaways for attendees.
- Tell us what makes your perspective different.
- Focus on learning and value rather than promotion.
- Be specific about what attendees will learn.
❌ DON’Ts of CFP
- No product pitches
- You may mention your company or product where relevant, but the session should primarily be about technology, experience, learning, or insights.
- No copied content
- The proposal and talk should represent your own original work, ideas, or experiences.
- No generic beginner content
- Avoid topics that simply reproduce introductory documentation or tutorials.
- No marketing presentations
- DevFest is a learning platform, not a sales pitch platform.
- No technology just for the sake of technology
- Your proposal should have a clear reason for why the topic matters to our audience.
🌍 Speakers from around the world are welcome
You don’t have to be from Ahmedabad to speak at GDG DevFest Ahmedabad.
We welcome submissions from:
